Toronto Blue Jays legend Jose Bautista recently went on the MLB Network and gave his opinion on the current Vladimir Guerrero Jr negotiations.
The Blue Jays are currently in negotiations with Vladimir Guerrero Jr as they are running out of time with only 4 days left before the first practice of Spring Training which is when Guerrero stated he would no longer talk about an extension.

Bautista who was recently named to the class of 2025 for the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame was on the MLB Network this morning and gave his thoughts on the Guerrero negotiations.
The Blue Jays legend stated that he believes it is incredible to play in Toronto as there is no other team with an entire country behind them and he is confident a deal will get done with Guerrero.

"Well I think he knows he was born in Montreal and he's Canadian. The fans love him there I want to see that happen I'm confident they'll figure it out. When you have a whole country following you its different. Imagine how different it is when you have a whole New York Yankees fanbase following you across the world compared to other teams, and the Blue Jays are the only other team that have that size of a following. Its a blessing, I know he understands what that means, and he is definitely weighing that in in his decision making. They're all trying to make an extension happen and I really hope that it does." -Bautista
Hopefully Bautista is right since fans are seriously starting to worry as there is so little time left to sign him before he decides that he will not sign anything until he hits free agency.
The right move is clearly giving him his asking price if they are serious about keeping him there but management seems to have other plans for the moment.
Fans across Canada have their fingers crossed that a deal will get done.
