Alek Manoah has been dealing with some shoulder problems to start the season, however, it appears as though he will get a chance to get back into the swing of things during a rehab appearance with the Dunedin Blue Jays.

Just a few days ago, we reported that Manoah would get to play a low-A game for Dunedin on Sunday. However, thanks to Sportsnet, there are a few updates on this upcoming performance. Essentially, Manoah will also be playing alongside Erik Swanson, who is also in Dunedin for rehab purposes.
Manoah will be limited to 65 pitches, which is usually a standard procedure. Just a few days ago, he pitched a simulated game that lasted three innings. In fact, he struck out three batters during this time. Manager John Schneider seems to believe he is progressing nicely.
"Alek Manoah and Erik Swanson are scheduled to appear in tomorrow's game, April 7th, at 12:00 PM for Dunedin."
This is going to be an interesting season for Manoah. Back in 2022, he had a career year with the Blue Jays thanks to a record of 16-7 and an ERA of 2.24. However, last year was pretty abysmal for the pitcher. His ERA was 5.87, and he only got three wins. Only time will tell whether or not he can get back to that 2022 version of himself.
The Blue Jays are currently in the midst of a match against the New York Yankees. If you are in Canada, you can watch the game live on Sportsnet.
