Davis Schneider excluded from Blue Jays lineup, fans express anger

Davis Schneider has been impressive to start the Blue Jays season, however, yet again, he finds himself out of the team's lineup as they take on the New York Yankees.
Earlier today, the Blue Jays unveiled their lineup against the Yankees. Immediately, Schneider's exclusion jumped off the page. Furthermore, the inclusion of Kevin Kiermeier drew groans, especially since he has been abysmal to start the year.
In the replies to the tweet below, numerous fans went off on the Blue Jays for the decision. Davis Schneider was brought up numerous times as fans want him in the lineup. He hit a huge home run that sealed a win against the Houston Astros earlier this week, and he has been one of the few bright spots for this team.

In a piece from Jays Journal, the bizarre lineup decisions were chalked up to a worrying reliance on analytics. This was the team's downfall in the postseason last year, and it seems to be coming back to bit them, yet again.
