The Blue Jays might still be able to make the playoffs but they should already be looking ahead as this season will likely end up as a disappointment.
In the off-season, there will be some big names entering free agency which the Blue Jays should be able to pick up since they will have around $60 million in available payroll.
Some of the biggest names that will be available this winter are Juan Soto, Corbin Burnes, Max Fried, Alex Bregman and Pete Alonso. If the Blue Jays are able to land just one of these players, this could be a huge help for the 2025 season.
So technically, they do have the payroll room to add a big contract for the best available free agents, who include outfielder Juan Soto, aces Corbin Burnes and Max Fried, third baseman Alex Bregman, first baseman Pete Alonso and closer Clay Holmes.- Kime
While Soto will likely stay in New York, the other players seem to looking for a new home next season and Toronto could be the place. Adding aces such as Burners or Fried would be great for the Jays that have struggled with pitching this season. Even adding Alonso's bat to the lineup who be incredible for the offense.
Free agency will be loaded with talent but now fans will need GM Ross Atkins or his replacement to close the deal.
