The Oakland Athletics are wrapping up their final season in the Bay Area as will be headed to Las Vegas in which owner John Fisher decided to released a final message to the fans.

Fisher thanked all the fans for their support over the years and mentioned how his plan was to stay in Oakland but they unfortunately could not find the right situation which is why they are headed to Vegas.
This letter was quickly bashed as many pointed out how Fisher's plan was always to take the A's out of Oakland and his efforts to keep them there is a lie.
A fan pointed out on social media that Fisher did everything in his power to make the A's a bad team as the largest contract he ever had on his roster was Eric Chavez for $66 million which was signed the year before he took over.
In 2004 the A's gave Eric Chavez 66 million

In 2005 John Fisher took over the A's

20 years later.... Eric Chavez is still the biggest contract in A's history

2024 John Fisher "we tried"
A Bay area reporter on the news last night in Oakland called Fisher out as well stating that every one of his plans for the construction of a new stadium in Oakland was extremely flawed and never meant to work. He added that they never even came close to a shovel in the ground.
«You never even got close to a shovel in the ground.»
Clearly everyone is upset with Fisher and all of his lies in regards to wanting to keep the team in Oakland when he did everything is his power to make sure the team would be bad to move them somewhere else.
Obviously having a team in Vegas will be great for the league but at the same time, moving a historic franchise such as the A's also hurt the game at the same time.
