Captain America join the Blue Jays to throw out ceremonial fist pitch
Marvel Avengers star who will dawn the red, white and blue suit and play captain America, Anthony Mackie was given the honor to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at todays Blue Jays game vs the Boston Red Sox.
It was obviously not a coincidence that Mackie threw the first pitch to David Schneider who has received the reputation of being a Captain America type figure for the Toronto Blue Jays this season. He has been considered as "Captain Clutch" where he always seems to come through in the most opportune moments late into ball games.

David Schneider has slowed down in production as the season wears on, but is still expected to be an everyday player when the 2025 season rolls around. He is hitting an abysmal .196, launching 13 home runs and 45 RBI's. He has achieved a below average OPS of .635, Slugging percentage of .351 and on base percentage of .283. Hopefully he is able to find his swing again in next years spring training.
Mackie will be playing Captain America in the new upcoming Marvel Movie, Captain America: A Brave New World. It is not revealed why he was in Toronto to throw out the first pitch, but it makes sense as he is doing press tour to promote his movie.
The new Captain America is in the house tonight and he just threw out the first pitch to Davis Schneider. Had some zip on it, too! #Bluejays #Avengers
