Mike Trout's Season Threatened by Surgery to Fix His Knee.

Fan Favorite and former League MVP Mike Trout will be out for immediate future with a severe knee (meniscus) injury that took place on April 29th. He is scheduled for surgery so he can return to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim lineup as soon as possible.

Even though it is not known when he will return to action, the good news is that the injury is not expected to end his season.
Mike Trout has a torn meniscus in his left knee and will need surgery. There is no timetable for his return, but the injury is not expected to be season-ending.

Angel's Manager confirmed that Trout will undergo knee surgery to fix a meniscus tear.
"Mike Trout has a meniscus tear. He'll have surgery. There is no specific timetable for his return." - Minasian
This is another major career setback for Mike Trout, a future Hall of Famer, who only played 82 games last season. Since 2019, He hasn't been able to play a full season.
During the 2022 season, Trout had to tell fans that a back injury wouldn't lead to retirement. Although his health issues have limited his ability to build on an impressive career, he still holds three AL MVP awards, nine Silver Slugger awards, and 11 All-Star selections, He also has 378 career home runs to his name.
When asked about another injury riddled season, Mike Trout was obviously very emotional saying that "he felt it (knee) a bit in the third inning yesterday. But no serious pain until post game."
