According to multiple reports, the Blue Jays is above $500 million but the average salary is still too low for Guerrero as the two parties are still far apart on a final contract number.
The Blue Jays have made another offer in their negotiations with Vladimir Guerrero, per sources; a gap still remains between the two sides.
The Jays have reportedly made Vladdy another offer, but there's apparently still a gap between the two sides.
As the Blue Jays first game has already begun, it looks like their hopes of signing him to an extension before the first pitch will not happen and there is a good chance nothing ends up getting done.
This is unfortunate news for the Blue Jays who were highly motivated to finally end all these negotiations and focus on the season.
