Vladimir Guerrero Jr confirms massive update regarding negotiations with the Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays seem to be inching closer towards a contract extension with Vladimir Guerrero Jr according to reports but the Blue Jays superstar made some interesting comments yesterday during an interview.
MLB insider Jon Heyman recently announced that the Blue Jays are currently closing in on a $500 million contract extension with Guerrero and Heyman believes that a deal will soon be done.

According to reports, both the Blue Jays and Guerrero would be satisfied with a contract worth $500 million as booth parties agree tat this is a fair number which is why many expect this to be the final number.

After yesterday's loss to the New York Mets, Guerrero gave some rather interesting insight into his contract negotiations stating that he has no clue what is going on as he is letting his agent deal with everything while he focuses on playing.
I asked Vladimir Guerrero Jr. if he's close to a deal with the Blue Jays.
(In Spanish): "Well, until now, I don't know anything. I've always tried to talk to my agent and I've always left that to my agent. I focus on playing. Until now, I don't know what you're talking about."

Clearly Guerrero has faith that his agent knows exactly what he wants out of a new contract and once a deal is near, Guerrero will be informed.
Since Guerrero still has no clue what is going on in the negotiations, the two parties cannot be that close to an extension.
