Even though the Athletics are moving to new cities, A's fans must be so excited to have Mason Miller. All season long, and especially in his last eight games, he has proven to be absolutely unhittable and has become the best reliever in baseball.

Mason Miller in his last 8 games:
8⅓ innings pitched
only 1 hit allowed
only 1 walk
20 strikeouts
8 saves
- Just completely ridiculous
One reason for his success is his lights-out fastball. Miller has the highest average velocity in the Majors at 100.7 MPH.
He's clocked 97 pitches at 100 MPH or higher this season, surpassing the second-place pitcher (Michael Kopech) by 40. Additionally, he's thrown 19 pitches at 102 mph or higher. All other MLB pitchers have thrown a combined total of eight such pitches, with no one else exceeding three.
If it wasn't already hard enough to time up his Fastball, he also has one of the dirtiest sliders in the game. Ranked 10th in average vertical drop and 22nd in average horizontal movement among all major league pitchers, Miller keeps hitters guessing between the fastest pitch they've seen all year and a breaking ball that vanishes before their eyes.
A fan even stated on X (formally Twitter) this exact reason he dominates:
He throws only strikes, throws a billion miles an hour, and has a breaking ball from Hades.

In 12 games this year and 14 innings pitched, he has a 1.26 ERA with 29 strikeouts and only four walks. In his last games and 8⅓ innings pitched he has only one hit, one walk, and 20 strikeouts resulting in eight saves.
Miller is to be feared by all hitters who have to go up against him.
