Although there has been a negative view of the frigid air in the great white north, it seems as though the majority of the players couldn't care less as the proof is in the vote. Whether it's the city life, the welcoming and atmospheric Rogers Stadium, or even the CN Tower watching over the city skyline, Toronto is beloved by many.
During this year's spring training, a poll was casted among 100 MLB players. This poll was to see which cities are favourites of the athletes traveling all season long for their teams, all of whom can definitely give an honest and informed decision as to which is best. It seems as though the downtown area is what lead the players to vote for Toronto. Many American players don't necessarily have Toronto on their travel list outside of baseball, so it is quite possible that the city comes as a surprise of diverse backgrounds, walkable and close-by attractions and a busy yet beautiful downtown scene.
