This is terrible news for Blue Jays fans as they are hoping for the team to make more moves this off-season like signing Corbin Burnes or Teoscar Hernandez but it looks like Nicholson-Smith believes it probably won't happen.
Clearly this cannot be an option for the Blue Jays as their current lineup is far from a top team in the AL East and even less so in the entire league which is why they need to make sure bigger moves happen.
The Blue Jays are in need of a solid hitter and at least a consistent starting pitcher to add to their rotation, if they are able to add both a pitcher and hitter, they might have a solid enough lineup to compete next season.
The bullpen is also a worry but if they can add some average pitchers, they should be fine with their current lineup and having Chad Green as their closer for the 2025 season.
