The Blue Jays are interested in signing former Yankees pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga
The Blue Jays are in desperate need of some decent bullpen arms after an atrocious 2024 season and since they currently released the majority of their bullpen, they need to start signing relief pitchers as quickly as possible.
According to a recent report, the Blue Jays are interested in former Yankees pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga in an attempt to rebuild their bullpen for the 2025 season.

Signing Loaisiga does come with some risk however since he missed the majority of the 2024 season after tearing his UCL in April which is why he only pitched 4 innings last season.

Despite struggling with injuries throughout his career, Loaisiga has but together some great season for the Yankees in which his best came in 2021 when he had a 2.17 ERA, 9-4 record with 5 saves in 70.2 innings pitched.
Loaisiga's best season came in 2021 where he had a 9-4 record with a 2.17 earned-run average and 69 strike outs in 70.2 innings pitched. -TSN
The risk involves Loaisiga's health since he has been known to be injury prone as he only pitched 17 innings in 2023 as well due to a right elbow inflamattion.
If the Blue Jays are able to land him at a cheap price it might be worth the risk because when healthy, Loaisiga has proven he can be a top end relief pitcher.
