Both the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers have shared a recent history as the dodgers continued to win the free agent sweepstakes of high-profile players against the Blue Jays.
After losing out to starting pitchers Roki Sasaki and Shohei Ohtani, it appears the Blue Jays may have the upper hand as the Dodgers are having trouble with excess roster players and appears to be targeting right hand relief pitcher Ryan Brasier.
Blue Jays see opportunities to bolster line up

The 37-year-old pitcher has established himself as a solid reliever and has produced solid results when it comes to his ERA and other statistics.
Red Sox legend Ryan Brasier!
As a member of the Dodgers, Brasier has about a year-and-a-half of service under his belt and he's been money. In a combined 68 appearances, he's got a sparkling 1.89 ERA, 2.83 FIP and 220 ERA+. Brasier is striking out over eight batters per nine innings while being stingier than ever when it comes to hits, home runs and walks allowed. - Eric Treuden Jays Journal
Dodgers have been busy this winter and may have overbought
The Dodgers have been stocking up on free agents over the winter and clearly has too many players that they can fit into their 40-man roster.
With the Blue Jays having struck out several times earlier this winter, they now have the financials to spend on other free agents including making deals with the dodgers that would bolster their lineup.

Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins had made it clear earlier last week that he is doing everything he can and the team is working around the clock trying to find players.
High profile names that have not been signed yet including Max Scherzer, Pete Alonso and Nick Pivetta would all be upgrades to the team and have been linked to the Blue Jays.
Blue Jays fans will need to wait and watch to see if the team can make the magic happen and give the team a much-needed boost as so many were disappointed with losing out earlier on this offseason.
