Toronto Blue Jays coaches snap on Vladimir Guerrero Jr in the dugout
The Blue Jays did end up losing that first game to the Orioles in Baltimore after Friday's game was cancelled but ended up winning on Sunday which tied the series at one game a piece.
The Blue Jays coaches get mad at Vladimir Guerrero Jr but were clearly in the wrong
Guerrero tagged first when a fly ball was caught then ran for second which he thought he was safe but the umpire called him out because he left too early which resulted in the Blue Jays coaches yelling at him.
Jomboy media went over the play frame by frame pointing out that Guerrero was in fact safe as he did not leave the bag too early and the Blue Jays should have challenged the play instead of getting upset with Guerrero.
Blue Jays coaches should have challenged the umpire's call instead of being upset with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., a breakdown
Jomboy shows that Vlad Jr. didn't leave early on the weekend. Umps missed this one. Jays didn't challenge because they didn't think there were enough camera angles to successfully overturn initial call in the moment. But by syncing camera angles, Jomboy shows Vlad waited enough.
This was clearly another mistake by the umpires who seem to consistently be doing a terrible job against the Blue Jays so far this season as this is not the first time they have gotten the short end of the stick.
Some of the blame is definitely on the coaches as well who did not even listen to what
Guerrero had to say and immediately sided with the umpires call instead of watching the replay and supporting their player.
Hopefully the coaching staff sees this video and learns from their mistakes.
