The Toronto Blue Jays announced an update of top prospects Orelvis Martinez who is currently playing in the Dominican Winter League as he looks to get back in shape after missing 80 games this season due a PED suspension.
Heading into the 2024, Martinez was ranked as the Blue Jays number two prospect in their system and hit the ground running in Triple-A and he continuously dominated at the plate eventually earning a call up to the majors.
Once in the majors, Martinez only last a couple games before he was suspended 80 games for PEDs which caused him to miss the majority of the season only returning to Triple-A in the last 2 weeks of the season.

Martinez seem to be up to a solid start in the Dominican Winter League after taking a ball deep in the Caribbean last night.
Orelvis Martinez plays for Tigres del Licey in the Dominican Winter League (LIDOM) and hit his first career home run in that league on Saturday evening, taking former New York Mets minor leaguer Oscar De La Cruz deep on the first pitch of the at-bat. -Delaney
