Toronto Blue Jays front office consisting of Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins recently got quite the awful ranking from 40 MLB executives and coaches.
The Blue Jays front office has faced a ton of scrutiny over the last few years with Shapiro and Atkins at the helm as they have made a number of questionable moves over the years.
Blue Jays front office ranked among the worst in the MLB
40 MLB executives and coaches recently voted on the best front offices in the MLB with the first place spot being no surprise as it went to the Los Angeles Dodgers for the second year in a row.
For the second year in a row, the sun shines brightest on the Los Angeles Dodgers, who harness that power to operate at peak capacity in every sector. They're extremely well-funded, of course, but so annoyingly well-run that their peers can't identify a weakness. -Kepner
Among the 30 teams in the MLB, the Toronto Blue Jays along with 9 other teams did not receive a single vote which is the second year in a row that this has happened to all 10 teams.
Did not receive votes: (for the second season in a row, in all cases): Athletics, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays. -Kepner
This does not come as s big surprise since the Blue jays front office is far from being considered one of the best in the league and with certain moves they have made, most consider them to be among the worst.
Regardless of the front office being continuously ranked at the bottom, the owners do not see it fit to chair president and GM which is why Atkins and Shapiro's jobs seem to be secured.
The Blue Jays are off to a great start to the season and if they manage to at least get a Wild Card spot this season, there is a good chance Rogers decides to keep Shapiro and Atkins once again.
