The Tampa Bay Rays home stadium, Tropicana Field, suffered quite a bit of damage from Hurricane Milton that tore through the state of Florida.

The entire roof at Tropicana Field was ripped to shreds and other critical damage was done to the stadium as well which has now put the Rays in a situation of looking for a new temporary home for the 2025 season.

Montreal's Olympic stadium is under renovations and cannot host the Tampa Bay Rays in 2025

There has been many options spoken of since the Rays announced that they would not be able to play at Tropicana Field next season due to the damages and the fact that renovating would not make sense since they plan on changing stadiums in the coming years.
One place that was an option was Montreal who was suppose to be the Rays home for half the season a few years ago but it never ended up happening.
According to reports, Montreal is no longer an option because the city has invested $870 million into fixing the roof of the stadium and it will be under construction for the next three years which means the Rays will have to continue searching.
«Until 2028, the field of play will be within a construction site and therefore not open to the public,» the stadium's communications officer told Topkin via email. Montreal is the second city to back away from serving as a potential temporary home for the franchise. The Durham Bulls, home of the organization's Triple-A affiliate, released a statement earlier this week saying they «do not anticipate hosting (the Rays) for a full season due to schedules overlapping and other logistical challenges.» -Franco

There has been talks of the Rays using another teams training complex as their home stadium for the upcoming season including the Blue Jays complex in Dunedin but there has been no update on if the Rays are seriously looking into these options.
