According to MLB reporter Caleb Moody from Just Baseball, Hernandez is set to sign a four year deal worth $85 million with an average salary on $21.25 million per season which would be a steal for the Blue Jays for what they would get from Hernandez.

The Blue Jays need offense and bringing back a player like Hernandez that can help the team with those issues plus is already loved by the fans would be a win-win situation.
The only problem here is that Ross Atkins would need to admit defeat by offering Hernandez a contract since he traded him away in 2023 and signing him would prove that it was a mistake.
