The Blue Jays ended up agreeing on a $2.3 million signing bonus with Polanco who was ranked in the 22nd spot in the MLB pipeline for thee 2025 international free agent class.
For a bonus deal of $2.3 million, Toronto was able to land Christopher Polanco, the 22nd overall prospect in this cycle, according to MLB Pipeline. He has a lot of great tools that could assist him in becoming a top prospect in baseball. -Dionis
Early reports of Polanco praise the young hitters abilities at the plate as he is seen as once of the best left handed hitters of the 2025 international class and consistently strings together solid at bats.
"Polanco is one of the more advanced left-handed hitters in the 2025 international class. He regularly strings together quality at-bats and performs well in games with a short, sweet swing that's mechanically sound and a knack for barreling good velocity." - Baseball America
Fans should be excited that the Blue Jays were able to land such an incredible talent and now they have two incredible shortstop prospects with Arjun Nimmala as well which has the future starting to look very bright.
If Polanco even turns into a fraction of what he should be, the Blue Jays have a serious star on their hands.
