Former Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Brandon League has landing himself a coaching job with the Cleveland Guardians for the 2025 season.
League's last stint in the MLB came in 2017 when he signed a minor league deal with the Kansas City Royals but ended up being released before the start of the season.

The Guardians announced this morning that they have hired former Blue Jays relief pitcher Brandon League as a pitching coach for their minor league Triple-A affiliate team.
Former Toronto Blue Jays reliever Brandon League has taken a job in the minor leagues for 2025. He'll serve as one of the pitching coaches of the Columbus Clippers, which is the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. -Farkas

This will be League's first experience in coaching but he does have a ton of experience as he is an 11 year MLB veteran with 498 games under his belt across three teams.
An 11-year veteran in the big leagues, League pitched for the Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers. He appeared in 498 career games between the three teams, including a career-high 74 with the Mariners and Dodgers in 2012. -Farkas
League spent the majority of his career with the Blue Jays as he played from 2004 to 2009 with them before being traded to the Seattle Mariners where he finished with a 7-10 record and 168 games played in Toronto.
During his time with the Blue Jays, he was 7-10 in 168 total apperances. He appeared in 67 games for Toronto in 2009. He registered two saves in his Blue Jays tenure. A native of Hawaii, Toronto drafted him in the second round of the 2001 draft out of the Hawaii high school ranks. -Farkas
It will be interesting to see how he ends up doing as a coach as he might have a long future ahead of him in the dugout.
