The Blue Jays could better their bullpen in a major way by signing Tanner Scott
Scott is one of if not the top free agent in terms of the relief pitchers on the market this off-season which is why he will surely be getting a great contract as multiple teams are interested.
The Blue Jays have mentioned how they do not plan on spending a ton this off-season but if they truly want to bring in players that will help turn this team around they will have no choice but to make real offers.
Scott is exactly what the Blue Jays need in an all-star caliber reliever after he put up a 1.75 ERA in Miami and San Diego last season through 72 innings pitched while striking out 84 batters.
There isn't any doubt that the club has a lot of work to do to improve their bullpen heading into 2025. They somewhat surprising let Génesis Cabrera become a free agent, a guy that was one of the few somewhat reliable relief arms on the team. Signing Scott alone is not going to completely fix this bullpen, but it would certainly be a good place to start. -Georges
