The Toronto Blue Jays have surprising plans for their top pitching draft picks and amateur scouting scout, Shane Farrell address the media to expand on it.
The #BlueJays opened their draft with two college pitchers in Trey Yesavage and Khal Stephen, who have already carried heavy workloads this year.
Farrell: "Given the amount they threw, I wouldn't expect them to rush to an affiliate and pitch much this season, if at all."
Considering both pitchers have put a lot of stress on their bodies with a long season in university, they will be most likely taking it easy to finish off the season, but nothing has been confirmed.
#BlueJays amateur scouting director Shane Farrell spoke with some of us this morning. On the 2024 class:
«We're excited that we were able to lean into a lot of player development traits that we're valuing, a lot of size, physicality, fastball shape and strikes with this group.»
Do you think Trey Yesavagewill be a major pitching star for the Toronto Blue Jays.
