It is apart of September baseball that teams who are out of postseason contention call-up young players to give them a taste of the Major Leagues, and the Toronto Blue Jays are planning to give new pitcher Jake Bloss a chance on Sunday Vs the Minnesota Twins.

Bloss came over to the Blue Jays in a trade that saw Yusei Kikuchi go to the Houston Astros. Bloss was surprised to be traded this early in his career after already making his major league debut with the Astros back in June. He believed that trades were meant for players who have been around a while that either have been playing subpar or need a change of scenery.
«I didn't realize how quickly it could happen,» said the 23-year-old as we spoke in the Bisons' dugout in Buffalo before their 4-2 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers on Saturday.

«I thought usually trades were for guys who had been around a little while ... I kind of just got (there). So you get your footing a little bit and then you're off across the country, not even, (to) a different country.»

But, as it goes, he has been playing well in the minor leagues and being traded could be the best thing for him as he is most probably going to be the next Blue Jay called-up this season.
«Start in high-A for a month then Double-A for a month and a half,» said Bloss. «Then in Houston for a month and now here, so it hasn't been more than like a month's stop in any place.»

Do you think Bloss could be an everyday start for the Jays?
