The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking at options for their bullpen and seem to be interested in former Boston Red Sox pitcher Kenley Jansen.

The Blue Jays have made some moves this off-season in terms of adding bullpen pitchers such as Yimi Garcia and Josh Walker but have yet to sign a true difference maker.

Relief pitcher Kenley Jansen is still a free agent and the Red Sox could be interested in bringing him back to Boston but it looks like the Blue Jays will also look to make a push for him.
According to Bleacher Report's Zach Rymer, he believes that the Blue Jays are very interested in Jansen and that he would be a perfect fit for their bullpen for the 2025 season.
While outlining landing spots for remaining relief pitchers, Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer suggested the Blue Jays would be a perfect fit for Kenley Jansen. -Mohammed

"The fit is almost too perfect," wrote Rymer. "Toronto's bullpen ranked dead-last with minus-3.9 rWAR in 2024, and newcomers Yimi Garca and Nick Sandlin only do so much to move the needle in the right direction. For his part, Chad Green should only be a placeholder at closer. Jansen has the bona fides for the gig, and it's not a small bonus that he has spent the last two years in the American League East. He knows the landscape." -Rymer

Jansen had a solid season last year with the Red Sox finishing up with a 3.29 ERA in 54 games while also racking up 27 saves and 62 strikeouts in 54.2 innings pitched.
Spotrac projects him to sign a two year contract worth around $29 million which would pay him $14.5 million per season which would be a solid price for the Blue Jays.
If Toronto could land Jansen at $14 million per season he would definitely be worth it as he would bring consistency to their bullpen and a reliable arm.
