Reports states the Toronto Blue Jays might look to trade Vladimir Guerrero Jr sooner than later

A recent report stated that Guerrero is now looking for more money than he was this off-season since if he were to sign with the Blue Jays and not go to free agency, they will likely need to make an offer over $500 million.

The Blue Jays failed to sign Guerrero to an extension before the start of Spring Training which has now put them in a tough spot since they need to decide if they will trade him now or hold onto until the trade deadline or the end of the season.

The Blue Jays have a few options but if they feel like he will land elsewhere in free agency, the smart move would be to trade him now since they could likely get a massive return for him.

The team could always look to hold onto Guerrero a bit into the season to see how things go and hope that he comes out of the gate very strong in hopes of raising his trade stock.

The final option would be to trade him at the deadline if they have a repeat of last year, they could look to trade him to at least get something out of a wasted season but will not get as big of a return.

The smart move would be to try and see if they would be able to land Guerrero for a reasonable price and if not, they need to look to trade him as quickly as possible since losing him for nothing in free agency makes no sense.
