Coming into he 2024 MLB season, The Toronto Blue Jays were supposed to have one of the pitching staffs and bullpens in the MLB, that being said, they have been poor and now have the worst ERA in baseball.

The Toronto Blue Jays have been struggling with depth in their starting rotation and bullpen, causing major issues this season with the worst bullpen ERA in the league.
The Blue Jays bullpen have the worst average ERA right now at 5.31. The main issues is lack of depth to injuries but the relievers who are supposed ot be stepping up have been more than lackluster.
Erik Swanson, Tim Mayza and Genesis Cabrera have all struggled badly, not being able to save quality starts and giving up lots of runs late in the game.
The Blue Jays' lack of long arm relievers arms was a glaring issue on Sunday VS the Nationals.. Alek Manoah made his first big-league start and when he was pulled after 4innings, there was no reliable backup plan to save the game.
Jays fans are coming after Erik Swanson who has been awful this year, he has given up 11 runs in only 6 innings of work and 5 homeruns in his last 6 games. Mayza and Cabrera, the primary lefties, have ERA's of 6.17 and 6.23 as well... yikes..
🚨 Erik Swanson being used in high leverage situations this season:
The Blue Jays need Mitch White and Garcia to return from the IL if the bullpen is going to stand any chance to close out games.
