Former Toronto Blue Jays player Teoscar Hernandez is set to become a free agent this winter and there have been a ton of rumors that he might be headed back to Toronto.

Hernandez signed a one year deal last winter with the Dodgers after coming off a down year so that he can prove just how skilled he is which he has done exactly that this season as he continue to dominate in the playoffs.

Teoscar Hernandez projected salary for upcoming contract has been released

There has been a ton of rumors that the Blue Jays might be looking to bring back Hernandez since he has been phenomenal this season and is exactly what the Blue Jays are looking for in terms of offense.
Many fans believe that the Dodgers will be making a push to keep him around but as his continues to exceed expectations, his projected salary continues to go up and it has hit a point where the Dodgers probably can no longer afford him. Hernandez is expected to sign a 3 year deal worth around $73 million this off-season and with the way he has been playing, the contract will likely end up being even bigger.
Those pursuits are expected to push the price tag up significantly for Hernandez in 2024 and beyond. His salary jumped from $14 million with the Seattle Mariners in 2023 to this year's $23.5 million, and it is projected that Hernandez could get a deal in the neighborhood of three years and $72 million this offseason. -Henry

The Blue Jays can definitely afford this contract which means it comes down to if general manager Ross Atkins is willing to admit he made the wrong move in 2022 and sign Hernandez to a contract this summer.
