Major update announced for Toronto Blue Jays Daulton Varsho

The Toronto Blue Jays have been patiently waiting for outfielder Daulton Varsho to return and it looks like he is now in the final steps of his recovery.
Varsho began the season on IL despite hitting in a few games in Spring Training as he was unable to begin fielding due to his surgery but it looks like he is finally making some solid progress.

MLB insider Ben Nicholson-Smith broke the news this afternoon that Varsho is now scheduled to play in a couple extended Spring Training games over the course of the next week.
Outfielder Daulton Varsho, who missed the beginning of the season after September shoulder surgery, is headed to extended spring training and plans to play full games next week, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reported. -Sportsnet
If all goes well in Florida for Varsho, the next step in his recovery will be playing in a couple Triple-A games with the Buffalo Bisons before he finally makes his return to the Blue Jays lineup.

While Varsho seems to be making some incredible progress, the Blue Jays are still waiting on Max Scherzer, Ryan Burr and Erik Swanson to return.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider stated that the team is taking Scherzer's injury day by day and that they do not seem to have a timetable as to when he will be back on the mound.
«We're just taking it day-to-day and seeing how he feels,» Blue Jays manager John Schneider said.
At least the Blue Jays should have Varsho back in the lineup by the end of April hopefully.
