Recent report revealed that the Toronto Blue Jays came close to closing on a deal at the trade deadline with the Houston Astros for superstar Vladimir Guerrero.
The Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero had an unbelievable season in Toronto which fans have been hoping will turn into a massive extension for him as he is set to enter the final year of his contract in 2025.
Guerrero has stated on multiple occasions that he would like to play his entire career in Toronto but towards the end of the season stated that he understands that it is a business and that a deal might not end up getting done.

This is no reassuring news for Blue Jays fans that are hoping that the Blue Jays will sign Guerrero to an extension this off-season despite signs pointing to the fact that Atkins does not seem in a hurry to get a deal done.
