The Toronto Blue Jays home, the Rogers Centre, will be hosting superstar musician Taylor Swift in November as she is set to have six concerts in Toronto during that month.
Swift will be headed to Toronto for her Eras Tour where she will be playing 6 shows between November 14th and November 23rd which has led to the Rogers Centre making a couple expensive upgrades for the upcoming shows.
Rogers Centre makes costly upgrade for the upcoming Taylor Swift concerts
The Rogers Centre will be receiving quite the upgrade in terms of 5G network moving forward which is specifically being done for the Taylor Swift concerts. The 5G network capacity will now be three times more than it previously was which is equivalent to adding 33 cell towers and will cost $8 million.
The Rogers Centre has completed an $8 million upgrade to its 5G network ahead of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour' shows there.
The stadium can now deliver 3x more 5G network capacity - the equivalent of what would traditionally be covered by 33 towers in downtown Toronto.
These improvements are being made so that Swift fans can have a more enjoyable experience during the concerts which will allow a better product in terms of livestream and will also improve cell service.
While these improvements are being made so that Swift fans can have a more enjoyable concert experience (and a better livestream product as well), the move will benefit Blue Jays fans moving forward also.
This will make the cell service and WIFI service better for fans at Jays games. While people are happy about the ballpark improvements, some are upset that the Jays and their fans weren't enough motivation to have done this already. -Farkas
These improvements will not only benefit Swift fans but Blue Jays fans as well since they will be able to have better reception within the stadium moving forward.
