Blue Jays reliever Erik Swanson has begun to turn things around in the month of July after another solid performance last night.
Swanson was sent down to Triple-A after an abysmal start to the season with the Blue Jays which continued with the Bisons up until recently. While his ERA on the season is still terrible sitting at 10.91, Swanson pitched 1.2 innings yesterday, giving up 0 runs, 1 hit and striking out 2 batters.
Encouraging sign from Erik Swanson last night for Buffalo:
1.2 IP 0 ER 1 Hit 0 BB 2 Ks
#BlueJays #TOTheCore
This was now the second game in a row Swanson came in only giving up 1 hit and 0 runs.
While he is still miles away from the Jays bringing him back up, this is definitely a step in the right direction.
