The Blue Jays announced that pitcher Jordan Romano's injury is healed but they are still taking it day by day and is still a question mark as to if he will be ready for Opening Day.

Romano has been battling elbow inflammation for a few weeks now but stated to reporters today that it is fully gone and he is ready to play.
Although Romano seems eager to get back on the mound, the team announced they are still taking it one day at a time to make sure he is 100% healthy.

Unfortunately, Jordan Romano suffered a significant injury at Spring Training, impacting his performance on the field. This injury interrupted what had been a promising trajectory for Romano, who had been showcasing strong pitching skills prior to getting sidelined.
Before his injury, Romano had been a key player for the Blue Jays, contributing significantly to the team's pitching lineup. In the games he played, his stats reflected his talent and value to the team. For instance, in the 2023 season, Romano demonstrated impressive numbers, recording a stellar ERA of 2.80 with a WHIP of 1.10. He also notched an impressive strikeout rate, averaging over one strikeout per inning pitched.
Romano's injury not only affected his individual performance but also had an impact on the Blue Jays' overall pitching depth. His absence from the lineup was felt as the team had to make adjustments to compensate for his absence on the mound.
Despite the setback due to the injury, Romano's previous contributions and potential for recovery remain promising, and fans eagerly anticipate his return to full strength to continue making valuable contributions to the Blue Jays' pitching rotation.
