Mookie Betts speaks on being trained by former Blue jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki
Betts was recently on the MLB Network radio station and spoke of his off-season training with Tulowitzki, as it has helped he gain strength and confidence at the shortstop position.
"Tulo is definitely a huge part of who I am today, especially playing shortstop."
Mookie Betts spent time this offseason learning from one of the best, Troy Tulowitzki:
Tulowitzki was also on the MLB network speaking on his work with Betts this off-season, stating that the way Betts trains and his dedication is like no other which is why he is so great.
Troy Tulowitzki put on a masterclass this morning describing the work he did with Mookie Betts in the offseason. It's SO fascinating. For parents, current amateurs or even for guys in the league, it's elite level thinking for anyone who wants to be great.
Betts is still trying to improve at the shortstop position as he has only been playing there since the 2023 playoffs which is why everything is still very new to him and he is constantly looking to improve.
If Betts is training with Tulowitzki, clearly he is a great coach and it might not be a bad idea for the Blue Jays to look at possibly bringing him in as a coach.
