Blue Jays Top Prospect Under the Radar at Spring Breakout, Connor Cooke
As Spring Breakout begins, the Blue Jays will be able to see the team's top minor league prospects in which one that is not well known but has a chance at seriously impressing seems to be RHP Connor Cooke.
Cooke was drafted in the 10th round of the Amateur Draft in 2021 and has been playing in the Minor League system since. In college at Louisiana-Lafayette, he had a 10-4 record with a 3.82 ERA in three seasons.
The Blue Jays prospect was recently invited to the Jays Major League camp where he allowed one run in five innings in the Grapefruit League. Management and fans have been mostly impressed by his fastball/slider mix that has dominated in short stints.
Coming off an invite to Major League camp, Cooke totaled one run allowed over his first five innings of relief in the Grapefruit League. His fastball/slider mix has dominated in short stints, and he enters Spring Breakout with an opportunity to prove he can be the Blue Jays' next breakout high-leverage arm.

As Cooke enters Spring Breakout, he will have the chance to showcase his arm even more and prove that he can eventually make it to the big leagues.
