Massive update announced regarding Vladimir Guerrero Jr's negotiations as the Blue Jays raise offer

The Toronto Blue Jays are finally starting to see some progress in their negotiations with Vladimir Guerrero Jr as they are getting closer to his asking price.
The Blue Jays negotiations have been all over the place this winter with Guerrero and the last update announced that he had raised his asking but it looks like that has not pushed the Blue Jays off of him.
The Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr seem to be getting some good traction in their negotiations
The Blue Jays have done a terrible job during these negotiations with Guerrero as they have overplayed their hand and tried to get him to lower his asking price despite him stating on multiple occasions he would not do that.
Despite Ross Atkins terrible approach, the Blue Jays still seem to be confident in signing Guerrero to an extension and MLB reporter Hector Gomez reported yesterday that there has been some progression as they are closing in on a deal.
According to a report from Z101 Digital reporter Hector Gomez, the Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. are working toward a contract extension.

Guerrero is still looking for a contract between $450-$550 million which the Blue Jays are apparently getting close to despite previous reports that they had yet to make him an offer over $400 million.
If Guerrero is going to sign a deal with Toronto, we've heard other reports indicate that it would be for between $450-550 million. If Guerrero were to hit free agency, he'd be the most coveted player on the market next season. -Farkas
Many see the possible Pete Alonso deal as a replacement for Guerrero but there is a high likelihood that if they land Alonso they will do everything they can to keep Guerrero as they two paired together would be an incredible duo.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the last two weeks before Spring Training.
