Toronto Blue Jays CEO Mark Shapiro met with the press this morning to answer questions on the Blue Jays disappointing season including Ross Atkins future with the organization.

Everyone has been wondering if Atkins would be returning next season as the general manager of the Blue Jays after there was rumors he would be switched to a different position with the organization.
Shapiro told the media the organization looked at alternatives regarding Ross Atkins but ultimately decided that they would be keeping Atkins as general manager moving forward.
Mark Shapiro says that GM Ross Atkins will stay in his role.

«If I felt there was a better alternative to run our baseball operation, I'd make that change.» #BlueJays

Blue Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro says "there won't be a change" with GM Ross Atkins.
Fans cannot believe Shapiro says the organization looked around and though Atkins was the best option moving forward even though fans have pointed out that thhere are a ton of good options.
I mean, who could be better than the guy who has dismantled a 92-win team and did it while trying to improve the team?
"If I felt there was a better alternative to run our baseball operation, I'd make that change.»

Yikes....
Tough to find another «yes man» that shines shoes as well as Ross does
Shapiro avoided the majority of hard hitting questions throughout the entire press conference telling reporters that Atkins would be better suited to answer those questions basically handing him the ball.
