Manoah's season could be over after suffering elbow Injury vs White Sox

It was a tough scene last night in Chicago as Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah had to exit the game in the 2nd inning with an apparent elbow injury.

The good news is that the bullpen came into the game strong in relief for Manoah, as they were able to shut down the White Sox and beat them 3-1.

Trevor Richards and Toronto's bullpen delivered after Alek Manoah departed because of elbow discomfort, and the Blue Jays beat the slumping Chicago White Sox 3-1 on Wednesday night.
It is a sad to see Manoah go down with an injury as he just spent the entire start of the season on the IL and rehabbing down in Triple-A. out of his 4 starts, he has had 2 very good outings and 2 not so good, but at least he was pitching and his game seemed to be trending in the right direction.
«Felt it after my start in Detroit and tried to do everything I can with the training staff through the week,» Manoah said Wednesday night. «Threw a bullpen a couple of days ago, kind of felt fine. I felt like I was able to go out there and compete and give the team a chance, and just wasn't able to.»
Manoah is expected to get an MRI on Thursday.
«Yeah, it sucks,» Manoah told Sportsnet's Shi Davidi. «But I have my faith in God and I dealt with a lot of (expletive) this past year to get back to this point. And the game's tough, you know?»
