The Toronto Blue Jays hired Kevin Kiermaier as an outfielder coach yesterday and it looks like prospect Jonatan Clase will benefit from this hiring more than others.

The Blue Jays announced yesterday that they hired former outfielder Kevin Kiermaier as a special assistant/outfielder coach as he desperately wanted to return to the organization as a coach.

Prospect Jonatan Clase set to benefit from Kevin Kiermaier hiring more than others

The Blue Jays acquired Clase from the Seattle Mariners and last year's trade deadline in exchange for relief pitcher Yimi Garcia and despite only playing 7 games, the young outfielder seems to have a lot of potential.
While Kiermaier will likely not be able to help Clase much with his offense since that was far from his strengths while playing, he will be able to help him develop defensively as he was one of the best defensive outfielders during his time.
The one outfielder currently on the Blue Jays 40 man roster who stands to gain the most from having Kevin Kiermaier in their ear?

Jonatan Clase.

80 grade speed but with extremely inefficient routes and 1st step. He has the tools to be an elite OFer. KK can only help unlock it.
As the Blue Jays have an aging outfielder in George Springer, beginning to develop talent such as Clase for the future will only help the team once they decide to move on from Springer.
Kiermaier is clearly very excited to join the Blue Jays this upcoming season as a coach and while most believe he will only help the team, it will be interesting to see how he ends up doing.
One thing is for certain, Blue Jays fans are happy to have Kiermaier back in a Blue Jays uniform.
