The Blue Jays traded outfielder Kevin Kiermaier at the trade deadline to the Dodgers after putting him on revocable waivers earlier in the season.

Kiermaier spoke with reporters this weekend about being traded to the Dodgers in his final season since he announced he would be retiring this year. The veteran outfielder stated that playing on the first place Dodgers has pumped new life into him and that he loves battling every night with him new teammates.
«They've pumped life into me ... being in first place and going to battle with these guys is an absolute blast." Trades from dead-end teams to #Dodgers have reinvigorated OF Kevin Kiermaier and RH Michael Kopech, as they showed in 7-6 win over #Cardinals.

Clearly Kiermaier is happy in Los Angeles despite still struggling at the plate and fans are wondering if these change of scenery has changed his retirement plans at the end of the season.
