Information leaked regarding Max Scherzer's injury recovery
Scherzer was first listed as day to day with his injury but as the Blue Jays continue to be unsure with how to solve the problem, his recovery has taken much longer than expected.
Yesterday a Sportsnet photographer recorded Scherzer playing catch for the second straight day but afterwards manager John Schneider stated that he is still in pain and his thumb is sensitive from the cortisone shot.

The Blue Jays brought in Easton Lucas to replace Scherzer while he has been out and Lucas has been on fire so far without another great game last night against the Red Sox.
Easton Lucas is taking advantage of Max Scherzer going on the IL.
Two starts:⚾
10 scoreless innings

He struggled with the A's,Tigers and in 2 appearances last year with the Jays.
Maybe the 28-year-old found something.

The good news is that the Blue Jays seem to have found a solid replacement in Lucas which will give Scherzer the proper amount of time to recover and he will not be forced to rush a return to the mound.
