The Toronto Blue Jays received some really good news on Tuesday regarding injured outfielder Daulton Varsho.
After starting the season on IL, Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho is getting closer to a return as he's on track to start throwing to bases later this week.
Varsho has alreay made significant progress in spring training as he has played some games as a DH and has been hitting surprisingly well but it looks like he is not ready to enter a game defensively just yet.
Shi Davidi took to X Tuesday afternoon and reported that according to Blue Jays manager John Schneider, Varsho's throwing is progressing really well at the same distance, 150, 165 feet.

Keegan Matheson also took to X on Tuesday and reported that Varsho is on track to throw from the outfield to the bases later this week and get back to normal game-speed throwing.
Daulton Varsho is on track to throw from the outfield to the bases later this week, which is a big step they've been building towards. Consider it normal "game" throwing. #BlueJays still aiming to have him back by the end of the month.
If Varsho continues to make steady progress in his recovery, there's a very good chance he'll be back in action by the end of April.
