George Springer Still leads all active players in leadoff homeruns
As we approach the beginning of the regular season, Blue Jays fans have a lot to look forward to with the roster we have put together this year.
One player that will surely make a big difference once again is George Springer, the 34 year-old had a solid year last year with 21 HR, 72 RBI, .264 BA and will hopefully bring even more to the table this year.
A stat was announced yesterday that is quite impressive regarding Springer. The Jays #4 leads all active players in leadoff homeruns throughout his career with 57. Additionally, in the all-time list of lead off homeruns, Springer only trails 1 player, Oakland legend, Rickey Henderson.
George Springer has the most leadoff home runs among all active players and the second among any player. Soriano is third on the list with 54!
Must read on Blue Jays Insider
We are officially only 2 weeks away from opening day and it will exciting to see how Springer follows up his last two seasons as he approaches the back-side of his career.
