Free agent Anthony Santander contract number with the Toronto Blue Jays has now gone up

The Toronto Blue Jays seem to be right on the cusp of signing free agent Anthony Santander but it looks like the number he wants to sign for has now gone up.
News was announced yesterday that the Blue Jays apparently have made an offer to Santander that sits at $82 million over 4 years but it looks like he is now looking for more money.

The Blue Jays seem to be right on the edge of signing Anthony Santander but after they made their first offer of $82 million, it looks like his targeted number has now gone up.
According to reports, Santander is now looking for a deal that is at least 5 years and would like to sign for around $100 million which means he is expecting to make around $25 million per season.
The Jays are meeting with Vlad Jr this week to see if an extension is possible- they have kept tabs on Alonso. Jays want to know if locking up Vlad is possible before ST. If not- things could happen quickly on their front.

However the Blue Jays are not the only team at a similar offer as the Los Angeles Angels have apparently made a very similar offer to Santander but most believe that the Blue Jays are still the favorites to land him.

The chances of Santander landing a $100 million contract seem to be quite slim but if the Blue Jays can get close to that number, he will likely be a lock.
