Free agent Alex Bregman takes shot at the Toronto Blue Jays as he want no part in playing for them

The Toronto Blue Jays seem to be very interested in free agent Alex Bregman but it seems like the feeling is not mutual as he wants to sign with the Detroit Tigers.
The Blue Jays have shown quite a bit of interest in Bregman over the last week as they have missed out on all of their other free agent targets and he could add some offense which they have been looking for.

The Blue Jays seem to be very interested in Bregman to the point where they have been reports that they have even made him an offer very close to his target of $200 million but it looks like he's not interested.
According to recent reports, Bregman is only interested in signing with the Detroit Tigers as they are among the top two teams interested in him along with the Blue Jays and it seems he has no interest in signing in Toronto.

The Blue Jays seem to be a stepping stone this off-season as multiple free agents have shown interest but it seems like they seem interested to drive up their value with the teams they actually want to sign with.
Fans are not exactly upset to see Bregman sign elsewhere as many believe he is on the decline and signing him to a long term deal means holding onto him for a few years while he is overpaid.
Despite this not necessarily being a bad thing for the Blue Jays, Bregman is going to be one more free agent that the Blue Jays have missed out on this off-season which will put them in an even tighter spot.
Hopefully Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins has a few tricks up his sleeve but it is unlikely.
