Former Toronto Blue Jays second baseman has been placed on waivers

The Seattle Mariners announced yesterday that they have decided to DFA former Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Samad Taylor.
Taylor is the second former Blue Jay to be DFA'd by the Seattle Mariners this week as former catcher Nick Raposo was also DFA'd to make room on their 40 man roster for a newly acquired player.

The Blue Jays acquired Taylor in a trade with the Cleveland Guardians back in 2017 and he stuck around for five years before being traded in 2022 without ever playing a game for them.
The Mariners announced last night they decide to DFA Taylor to make room on their roster for catcher Blake Hunt who they acquired in a trade from the Baltimore Orioles.

Many Mariners fans were surprised to see Taylor let go as he put up solid numbers in Triple-A last season with 11 homeruns and 75 RBIs in 136 games while earning 5 games in the MLB.

Now that Taylor is set to hit waivers, they is a good chance the Mariners decide to either trade him or he will end up getting claimed by another team.
