Former Toronto Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos has been in hot water with the Atlanta Braves fans as he has yet to make a big move this off-season.
Blue Jays fans have been hoping for the team to go make more moves as signing Yimi Garcia and trading for Andres Gimenez does not seem like enough but surprisingly enough other team such as the Atlanta Braves have done even less.
Former Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos in hot water with Braves fans
The Braves announced earlier today that they signed outfielder Bryan De La Cruz to a one year, non-guaranteed contract which is far from the big move the fan base is hoping for.
The #Braves today signed OF Bryan De La Cruz to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract for the 2025 season.
Fans do not seem happy with Anthopoulos for the time being as he has yet to do any big moves this off-season to shake up their roster and get the Braves back as serious contenders for the World Series.
seems like braves fans have turned/are turning on AA lol
So far, Anthopoulos has only agreed on minor league deals this off-season or smaller one year deals with players such as Carlos Rodriguez, Bryan De La Cruz while also trading for infielder Nick Allen.
The #Braves today acquired INF Nick Allen from the Athletics in exchange for minor-league RHP Jared Johnson.
Clearly the Braves fan base is hoping for more from their GM but at the same time he has been quite good over the years leading them to a World Series not that long ago which is why they should be patient.
Blue Jays fans might find all of this ridiculous as they would trade Ross Atkins for Anthopoulos in a heartbeat.
Hopefully both these teams get going and start making some big moves or their fan bases will not be too happy.
