The Blue Jays decided to use their second round pick on another RHP Khal Stephen from Mississippi state which has some fans quite upset.
While having a lot of solid pitchers is far from a problem, fans do not understand why the Blue Jays would use another high pick to go after another pitcher when they just took one one the first round and have other areas that need attention.
With the 59th pick (2nd round) in the 2024 MLB Draft, our #BlueJays select RHP Khal Stephen from Mississippi State.
He also has a four pitch mix (fastball, curveball, slider, changeup) and he had a 3.28 ERA over 16 starts in 2024.
It'd be nice if they would draft a possible batter that could actually hit

2 pitchers? Are you kidding me. Call me in 6 years when they have finally recovered from Tommy John and might actually make a difference
While Stephens has put up great numbers in college, it is surprising that management decided to go with another pitch with their second pick in the draft.
