Two of the Toronto Blue Jays newest addition in pitchers Richard Lovelady and Jacob Barnes had a disaster of an outing against the Philadelphia Phillies this afternoon.

The Blue Jays took on the Phillies this afternoon as they headed into the game undefeated but that unfortunately took a turn for the worse in the 6th inning as they blew the lead.

In the sixth inning is when the real disaster happened, Jacob Barnes who was just signed came into the game giving up 2 hits, 3 earned runs without a single strike out before being taken out for Lovelady.
Philadelphia took the lead in what was a rough sixth inning for Jays pitchers Jacob Barnes and Richard Lovelady.

Barnes surrendered an opening double to Oscar Mercado, who then stole third. A walk to Trea Turner followed by an R-B-I single by Kyle Schwarber tied the game at 2-2. -Canadian Press

Then came in Lovelady who unfortunately did not do much better as he gave up two hits himself and one earned run before being pulled out of the game as well.
Lovelady entered the game and allowed a runner to advance on a wild pitch before hitting Bryce Harper.

Philadelphia then went up 4-2 on RBI singles from Byron Stott and J.T. Realmuto.

A throwing error by Lovelady on a fielder's choice brought home Max Kepler, and the Phillies scored another on a Gabriel Rincones Jr. groundout thanks to a missed catch error by Jays first baseman Rainer Nunez. -Canadian Press

The Blue Jays were down 9-3 but started to rally a comeback but that all came crashing down when Jacob Sharp struck out.
