Daulton Varsho is putting on a defensive clinic in the outfield for the Toronto Blue Jays this season, he has an MLB-leading 11 "non-routine" outfield outs. He was once robbed of a Gold Glove for his outstanding defense, will this happen again?

Daulton Varsho: Catch Probability 25%... he now has an MLB-leading 11 "non-routine" outfield outs this season
Is this the same guy that led MLB in defensive runs saved and didn't even win a gold glove? - Bassitt

This season, Varsho is doing what he does best, manning the outfield and making unbelievable highlight reel catches. With that being said, he still does get the recognition he deserves as a premier defender in the MLB.
Going back to last year, Pitcher and teammate Chris Bassitt believed that Varsho was robbed of a Gold Glove in left field as he led in defensive runs saved. He ultimately lost out to Steven Kwan of the Cleveland Guardians.
Bassitt said this:
The fact you can lead in defensive runs saved and not win a gold glove is pure stupidity only baseball can pull off.
As fans, we love Varsho in the outfield making catches that save runs and games, his bat can improve overall, but his recent 6-game stretch has proven he has the potential to be an extremely well-rounded player.
